Joe Smith graduated from the University of York in 2015 with BA graduation, and 2018 with his MSc graduation

. His BSc focused on the neurobiology of memory and emotional heritage; his MSc on the body-sense evolution of language during Prehistory. 

He works on commercial and research projects, looking at Mesolithic landscapes in North Yorkshire and Scotland. He enjoys prehistoric archaeology, and the archaeology of social transformation.

Joe is a published author who enjoys reading, gardening, board games, playing musical instruments, and art.
